ETHICAL ART – Squooze, a home grown company

A while ago I wanted to help my sister sell her beautiful art work. After lots of research, we stumbled across Gicleé printing. We found a fabulous company that could scan the art, and a man who cared enough about reproduction quality to make the art look as good in reproduction as it did on the easel.

Our primary aim was to promote Wendy as an up and coming artist, but then we decided to add on a bit of stock, things that echoed Wendys work. "Feel good" was our by-word, as we searched for ethically traded or ecologically sound products. We found hand made toys from Central Asia, Jute bags from India, recycled notebooks in beautiful colours and all sorts of lovely things that made us smile, or shed a bit of light into a dark day. So we placed them all here alongside the art work, with love and squoozes for you to find.

If you are an undiscovered artist, who would like help, we’d be happy to talk to you. We are learning as we go, but if you like what we’ve done so far, and believe that an artist should keep the lions share of his or her profit then you’ve come to the right place. We are not agents, just a group of friends who want to help each other sell our art work. We are adding new contacts daily, artists, jewellery makers and photographers. Any profit we make from the stock goes towards scanning another piece of art, or funding another print run.
